X26 Bus Route Stays Local - Brake

Local residents will not suffer a loss of service when the new X26 bus begins making the rounds.
Transport for London have announced that the X26 bus route will now stop at
Wallington Green
Carshalton High Street
Sutton Town Centre
Cheam Broadway
North Cheam
Worcester Park Station
The news has been welcomed by local MP Tom Brake who helped canvass the opinions of passengers on changes to the old 726 bus route.
Many local people use the service to move around the borough as well as to go to Croydon, Kingston and Heathrow. The route has however, been subject to delays and unreliability due in part to its length.
Tom Brake said,
"I'm glad that Transport for London have listened to local residents who rely on the X26 to travel around our borough and to the two transport hubs of Croydon and Heathrow. This is a victory for common sense."
