Brake supports the Parliamentary move into the 21st Century

Following yesterday's overwhelming 113 majority vote in the Commons for a fully elected House of Lords, Tom Brake said of the tremendous decision,

"It's about time we sorted it out! Very few modern countries have non-elected second chambers packed with appointed and hereditary members. I'm delighted that we agreed to bring Parliament- all of Parliament into the 21st Century. Now we have to see it through."
