Local Liberal Democrat MP Tom Brake last Thursday attended the launch of a new interactive tool on the National Rail Enquiries website called 'Stations Made Easy'.
Stations Made Easy has been designed to help people find their way around train stations. It aims to help passengers who have problems walking long distances, people travelling with heavy luggage or parents travelling with children, who may want to avoid stairs or other features they find difficult to use.
After the launch Tom said, 'This new tool is an excellent way for customers to plan their journeys in advance, by seeing what facilities are available at each station.'
'I am pleased that National Rail are taking steps to help improve the journeys of those customers who have disabilities or parents with young children by helping them to find their way more easily around stations.'
