Tom Brake Helps Celebrate Twenty Years of Success

January 12, 2010 4:03 PM

Local MP Tom Brake is celebrating twenty years of Razzmatazz in Wallington and the many successes the event has had.

Razz is a monthly street stall organised by Tom in Wallington Town Centre, and is a good chance for local people to meet Tom, local councillors and Liberal Democrat activists.

Tom said of Razz, 'Razz is a great chance for me to informally meet local people and hear about the issues which matter to them. It also helps us to draw attention to local campaigns and let people know what is going on in their area.'

Last Saturday Tom, and a number of other committed activists, braved the freezing weather to collect signatures for his campaign on the Freedom Pass and the future of Wallington Police Station.

Previous issues Tom has collected signatures for at Razz include the successful campaigns to prevent the closure of Wallington Fire Station back in the 1990s and Sutton Magistrates' Court.

If you are a resident of the Carshalton and Wallington constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.
