Brake Seeks Meeting with the Secretary of State for Health over the Future of St Helier Hospital

Tom Brake has wasted no time since the establishment of the coalition government in his campaign for St Helier Hospital.

He has already sought an urgent meeting with the new Secretary of State for Health, the Rt. Hon. Andrew Lansley MP to discuss progress on the St Helier Hospital project.

Tom said, "The new Secretary of State for Health, when in opposition, came to St Helier Hospital to guarantee the £219 million funding for the Better Healthcare Closer to Home project. I would welcome the chance to sit down with him now and hear how he sees this project proceeding."

Tom expects to be able to raise the matter with the Secretary of State later this week.
