Thousands flock to 'Active at the Arena'

Sutton Arena in St Helier was crammed with people on Saturday for the 'Active in the Arena' event.

With the range of activities spanning Karate Shotokan to indoor athletics, there was something sporty on offer for everyone. And help and advice was on hand from key organisations such as the Police and Sutton and East Surrey water.

Sutton Arena's Attractions Draw Huge Crowds

Tom Brake MP for Carshalton and Wallington was one of hundreds tempted up the climbing wall. He said afterwards, "It was great going up but coming down, I needed some convincing you could push off and let go, without plummeting to the ground!"
